I want to be sure that you know that the final phase of our office project, redoing the parking lot, is underway. You cannot access the main parking lot from Periwinkle so
you need to enter the main parking lot from Wooster Lane (off Palm Ridge). This road is called Dunlop if coming off the causeway. There are still a few handicapped parking spots accessible by the front entrance when you come for services. The bus will also still be able to drop off and pick up passengers at the front door. You are welcome to drop off at the main entrance if that is more convenient for you.
Saturday’s
Blessing of the Animals, which includes a short outdoor service at 10am and the drive up/walk up blessings from 10:20am-noon, will be held in the back lot. Parking attendants will be available to assist you. Please enter from Wooster/Dunlop in the back.
My Celebration of a New Ministry which was originally scheduled for October has been postponed due to the bishop’s schedule. As soon as the new date is confirmed, we will let you know.
Also, please be sure to check your inbox or mailbox for the October/November edition of the Red Door newsletter. There are many great things happening these next two months, and you don’t want to miss out.
Finally, I’ll leave you with this thought on Evangelism by Br. Jim Woodrum of The Society of St. John the Evangelist: “Why does the word "evangelism" evoke such a negative emotion in many of us? I think we have misunderstood the meaning of the word. This word actually comes from the Greek word "euangelion," which means “messenger of good news.” It is where we get the word "angel." The angel Gabriel was an evangelist, a bringer of good news.”
May we be angels of Good News as well!
Peace and Blessings,
Bill+
